Description

Launched in 2008, the Super Orion Series 3 marked a major milestone in the history of Chapuis Armes with the introduction of the Round Body action.

With Series 4, Chapuis opens a new chapter by thoroughly redesigning its Classic and Artisan ranges, driven by a constant ambition to deliver more value without compromise on excellence.

True to this philosophy, the C140 Series 4 offers an enhanced level of finish and features, while maintaining a price positioning comparable to the 2025 C140 Series 3.

A fully redesigned action

The Chapuis Super Orion C140 Artisan Series 4 stands out with a major evolution of its action.

The action contour has been entirely redesigned, featuring an elegant palmette shaping along with newly defined side body contours, resulting in sharper, more fluid lines and a deeply renewed visual identity.

This new architecture enhances the model’s aesthetic signature while highlighting the craftsmanship applied to each firearm.

Polymirror finish inspired by Manurhin expertise

For the first time, Chapuis applies Polyglass polishing techniques, originally developed in the manufacturing of Manurhin revolvers.

This process allows subtle material contrasts and delivers an exceptional polymirror finish on the action contours and barrel side fins.

The result offers a unique perception of volumes and light within this price segment.

New engraving by Rocco Capece

The engraving evolves with a new demi-relief ornamental design, entirely redesigned by renowned engraver Rocco Capece.

Each firearm is then hand-engraved by our Master Engravers.

The C140 is available in two interpretations:

  • Full ornament version
    • Game scene version, finely engraved on the side plates and underside of the action

Configuration and customization

Each Chapuis Super Orion C140 Artisan is available in a wide range of configurations:

• Barrel lengths: 600, 660, 700 mm and 760 mm
• Solid or ventilated rib
• Fixed or interchangeable chokes
• English, pistol or Prince of Wales grip stock
• Round or tulip forend

It also features distinctive signature details:

The Chapuis Artisan DNA

In the pure Chapuis tradition, the C140 retains all the core features of the Artisan range:

  • 5-star walnut selected by the customer
    • Bespoke stock fitting
    • Long tang trigger guard
    • Fully hand-cut checkering, fine “gunpowder grain” pattern with full wrap-around grip
  • Traditional hand-oiled finish, including pore filling, hand rubbing and linseed oil treatment
    • Each firearm is individually built and fitted by a Master Gunsmith

• Chaque arme est réalisée et ajustée à la main par un Maître Armurier.
