The Chapuis R.O.L.S is the story of a rifle whose first sketches, designs and features were conceived in 2012.
It was only after 5 years of R&D and numerous tests that we launched the Chapuis R.O.L.S, an acronym for our Rifle Opening and Locking Straight, in 2017.
For Chapuis, this was the very first fully 3D-designed weapon accompanied by a dedicated production and control line.
No fewer than 5 patents accompany this unique rifle.

Featuring more than 8 major changes compared to the 1st version, this brand new generation of ROLS rifles also has 2 completely new features.
The complete reengineering of the percussion mechanism has enabled us to create a trigger with an almost unrivalled direct-start quality, as well as a completely new adjustment system that we’ve called the ST Trigger (Switch Trigger), allowing you to select your starting weight very intuitively right up to the moment you fire.
The new firing pin/trigger assembly, which operates with a gravity grip, eliminates any travel between the trigger and firing pin, and is characterised by exceptional starting quality. Combined with an all-new reverser positioned at the top of the trigger, you can switch in a fraction of a second between the SR (Short Range) position, ideal for driven shots with a starting weight calibrated in our workshops at around 1.2 kg, and the LR (Long Range) position, perfect for approach shots calibrated at around 600 kg
The smooth operation of the new ROLS.2 mechanism, combined with the new ergonomics of the cocking knob, ensures exceptional handling when empty and in shooting conditions. Thanks to the new look of the breech and its new anti-reflective coating, the modern, assertive identity of this new linear rifle will delight the most demanding shooters.
In addition to these numerous technical evolutions, all the other features known from version 1 apply to this new generation ROLS.2.
