Manurhin MR73 revolvers
The French company Chapuis Armes has been manufacturing the legendary Manurhin revolvers since 1998 at its factory in Saint-Bonnet-le-Château.
From the very beginning of our Manurhin journey, Chapuis Armes has continuously invested in its production facilities, modernizing processes while maintaining the use of the highest quality steel.
Description
The MR73 offers the ability to precisely adjust the double-action trigger pull weight to suit the shooter’s finger pressure.
It is also possible to finely adjust the single-action trigger pull weight, thanks to its leaf-type trigger return spring, pivoting on a pin within the grip, with tension adjustable by means of a screw.
All MR73 and MR88 revolvers undergo three successive tests:
• Overpressure test: our revolvers are proof-tested at the Saint-Étienne proof house using ammunition generating pressures 30% higher than standard levels (CIP standards).
• Function test: the trigger pull weight, its adjustment range, cylinder lock-up and the operation of the firearm in single and double action are meticulously checked by our master gunsmiths.
• Accuracy test: all our revolvers undergo this final accuracy test. MATCH models are delivered with a test target, where a 6-shot group at 25 meters must be under 20 mm.

The development of this revolver is the result of extensive collaboration between Manurhin, defense professionals and sport shooters.
Numerous elite intervention units across Europe, including the G.I.G.N. and the R.A.I.D., as well as the French National Police, have selected the MR73 as their service weapon. The most demanding shooters have long chosen the MR73.

Trigger adjustment
The MR73 offers the ability to precisely adjust the double-action trigger pull weight to suit the shooter’s finger pressure.
It is also possible to finely adjust the single-action trigger pull weight, thanks to its leaf-type trigger return spring, pivoting on a pin within the grip, with tension adjustable by means of a screw.
Frames
The frames are fully machined from forged steel blanks.
Cylinders and barrels
The use of high-grade, purpose-specific steels, combined with machining carried out on our 5-axis machines, enables us to achieve a level of manufacturing precision previously unmatched.
All chamber finishing operations are carried out by roller burnishing, increasing their hardness.
Thanks to this finishing process, we achieve a mirror-smooth surface inside the cylinder chambers.
The rifling and finishing of the barrel are achieved through cold hammer forging, a process that compacts the metal’s structure, unlike other machining methods which cut the metal fibers and create weak points in the barrel.
Finishing and fitting
All assembly, fitting and finishing operations are carried out by hand by our master gunsmiths. They can be broken down into six groups of operations:
• Inspection, deburring and polishing of machined frames
• Assembly and fitting of the action, barrels, cylinder and cylinder lock
• Fitting of the ejector
• Manual Polyglass finishing of the entire firearm
• Special MR73 bluing
• Assembly and fitting of the front and rear sights, grips and all other components
Thorough inspections are carried out at every stage.
